Whitetail Buck Following Another Buck
Today's photo is of a Whitetail Buck following another buck in an open hilltop. I took this photo back in December 2008. I posted a photo of a Bedded Whitetail Buck this past Friday that was on this same day and in the same area. I was driving the back-roads near Alma, Arkansas.
Every once in a while I will take a drive in the country looking for wildlife to photograph. I had been to Frog Bayou which is off of Hwy. 282 in Rudy, Arkansas. I didn't photograph anything at that location but it is still a great place to visit. I stayed on Hwy. 282 until it changed to Dean Springs Road. These deer were on this road.
How I Got The Shot - Whitetail Bucks
I was using a Canon EOS 40D and a Canon EF 400 mm f5.6 lens. I was shooting in aperture priority mode (AV) with a shutter speed of 1/1000 of a second at f5.6 and the ISO at 200. White Balance was set on auto. I was using single point, continuous auto focus with evaluative metering.
