Strange Acting Northern Cardinal
I was watching the birds feeding on the ground. This was at my place here in the Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas.
The main group of birds was Northern Cardinals. I noticed one of the male Cardinals sitting on the ground. He stayed like this for several minutes while the other birds fed around him. At first, I didn't think much about it but after a while I became concerned. I grabbed my camera and went outside. The other birds flew away but not the Cardinal. I was able to walk up to it and sit next to it. I noticed that one of his feathers seemed to be out of place but other than that he seemed okay. After a few minutes, he flew to a nearby tree with no problem.
How I Got The Shot - Northern Cardinal
I was using my FUJIFILM X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera with an 18-55 mm Lens. I was shooting in aperture priority mode (AV) with a shutter speed of 1/58 of a second at f8 and the ISO at 800. White Balance was set on auto. I was using single point, single shot auto focus with multi metering.
