Raccoon In Hollow Tree

This Raccoon in a hollow tree is very popular at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge. Several photographers have been able to photograph this Raccoon in this tree. It’s located in an area called Miner's Cove. Miner's Cove is the area on the left after turning left at the four corner intersection.

Pregnant Fox Squirrel

This Fox Squirrel sure looks pregnant to me, or she has eaten well over the winter.

I read that female Fox Squirrels come into estrus in mid-December or early January then again in June. They normally produce two litters a year.

Bedded Whitetail Buck

I photographed this bedded Whitetail Buck back in December 2008. I was driving the back-roads near Alma, Arkansas when I spotted this buck in an open field. I was able to pull over and get out of my pickup and brace my camera on a fence post.
